    On June 21-26 took place the world’s biggest programming championship among students — International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), organized by Association of Computer Machinery. A team from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University participated in contest finals with the support of Sigma Ukraine company.

    The Tempus project promotes IT innovation and entrepreneurship in Ukraine. The list of the program’s partners includes Linnaeus University, Sigma, IKEA, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Dublin City University (Ireland), Oxford Brookes University (UK), Pedro Nunes Institute (Portugal) and five Ukrainian universities.

    Sigma Ukraine together with Sigma Technology was involved in creation of a fascinating web-based adventure game the Minnits for Universal Learning Games AB since 2012. During this time we developed from scratch a Unity 3D learning game, which is aimed at helping students of age from 10 to 13 learn English in a fun and engaging way. After the success of the first game, Universal Learning Games AB engages Sigma team in creation of a new multiplayer adventure game the Math Minnits.

    Sigma Ukraine and Sigma IT & Management have delivered three web-based solutions to Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) to extend a new cost management system, launched last year. These modules were built using Microsoft technology stack that was also used in Charges System and thus allows saving significant cost on hosting, maintenance, support and data management, as well as facilitate the integration.

    Sigma Ukraine opens a new office in the very heart of Kyiv. The official opening took place on June 6th, though the business was already running for few months in a row. The company`s top management visited Kyiv to participate in traditional festivities and greet the Kyiv team, which works closely with Kharkiv and Odesa offices on company`s major projects.

The vital topics of the Ukraine`s economy development were discussed — increase of energy efficiency, attracting investments into Ukraine, the role of the ICT industry in cross-sector upgrade, higher education development. Sigma Ukraine was Forum`s partner and took part in all activities.

    On April 17th Sigma Ukraine took part in the 13th open job fair at Odesa national polytechnic university. Students listened to the company presentation, asked questions and expressed their opinion about Sigma Ukraine as an employer.
