History

The beginning of Sigma Ukraine's history can be considered to be 1995 when co-workers from several IT departments of Hartron Corporation set up the ITC Group. The main focus of the group's activities was development of software projects for European and US customers. In 2000, in order to enhance its competitive position in the growing outsourcing market, the eSP Consortium was created, bringing together more than 280 experts from 6 Kharkiv IT companies.

In 2002, the managing company of the Consortium was registered under a new name - Eclipse Software Programming (Eclipse SP). So May 10, 2002 is considered the official date of the company's establishment in its current composition. From that moment, the active qualitative development of the company started. A developement office in Odesa and a representative in Arlington, USA were opened, as well as representative offices in Switzerland and Austria; the company achieved the status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and established development centers for large U.S. and European clients. Also, the company started to develop their own products.

In 2006, Eclipse SP became a part of the Sigma Group (www.sigma.se), which allowed it to start working in the Scandinavian market and together with Swedish colleagues, to take part in the development of new and interesting projects for world-known brands.

In 2011, the company changed its name to Sigma Ukraine, thus confirming its status as a member of the international Sigma group of companies , which has offices in 9 countries and employs more than 1400 specialists.

Chronology:

2012 Sigma Ukraine celebrated its 10th anniversary. The company joined the Tempus project. It employed over 350 people by the end of Q1. The ISO certificate was renewed with an international upgrade. Made a successful delivery for Ukrainian bank PUMB, and took part in Camp Digital event in UK.
2011 The company’s official name change to Sigma Ukraine confirmed the strong representation of the Swedish Sigma group on the Ukrainian market. The company employed more than 300 people. Accomplished iPad projects for world-renowed Japanese automotive brands. Started the big booking seats project with Swedish transportation company together with Sigma IT & Management AB.
2010 Successful development of mobile competences, the conclusion of a major contract with a Finnish company to develop a Microsoft SharePoint portal; holding of a contest for students in partnership with GTECH G2. Active development of Kharkiv and Odessa offices. Started the cooperation with a Swedish real-estate software house.
2009 Opened offices in Austria and Switzerland, created a development center for FormPipe Software AB to develop document management software, partnered with Greek IT company Qualco to sell their product Qualco Collections software in Ukraine. Start of work for American, LA based consultancy company JLOOP.
2008 Opened of the representative office in Kiev, participated in initiatives of the Swedish Government and the Swedish Trade Council in Ukraine. Increased our presence in the Ukrainian market with products of our partners in the field of document management. Entered the pharmaceutical market, confirmation of GAMP compliance, started a project with a world-wide known pharmaceutical company.
2007 Achieved the status of Gold Certified Partner of Microsoft®, got the status of official representative of the Stellent® (as part of Oracle since 2008) in Ukraine. Started the long term cooperation with a Swedish world-reknowed automotive brand. Started development of an exciting e-commerce solution fora  US-based technological startup company.
2006 Joined the Sigma Group, awardedthe certificate of conformity to ISO 9001:2000 quality standard, establishment of a development center for Swedish gaming company Boss Media (now GTECH G2). Company employed 60 people. Started cooperation with an industry-leading digital mapping and navigation company.
2005 Opened of an office in the Arlington in the United States, set up partnerships with companies in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Started cooperation with Negentis. Developed the first application for the mobile industry for a client from Scotland.
2004 Gained experience in document management, started the development of an enterprise printing solution for a German company in Potsdam.
2003 The company employed 15 people, had active engagement in Telecom product development for a UK Customer. Developed a startup web portal project for a compan in Switzerland. Developmed a complex portal solution based on .NET technology in tourism industry for a US company.
May 10, 2002 Eclipse SP established.
